Beat the heat with “Natin”, an alcoholic homage to the Filipino sweet tooth.
We have been seeing real talent within Diageo Reserve World Class, and we’re excited to shine the spotlight on these talented men to show the world what the Filipino bartender has to offer—and this year, we’re confident that who we are as a country and as a people will truly stir things up in the world stage. Here’s to Filipino talent that’s proudly ours – Natin.
It’s summer pretty much all year round in the Philippines. No wonder most of us are so inclined towards cold drinks and desserts like fruit shakes, halo-halo, or milk tea.
In this video, I’m taking the Filipino’s penchant for cold sweets and putting an alcoholic spin on it. “Naten” is a colorful medley of matcha, lemon, coconut milk , and egg white.
With strong citrus aroma and a core of warm spice, I’m adding Diageo Reserve’s Tanqueray No. TEN to add a bit of a kick. “Naten” makes use of these diverse ingredients to create a cocktail worthy of the Diageo Reserve World Class status.
– 1/2 tbsp matcha powder
– 1 tbsp sugar
– 1/3 cup coconut milk
– 1/4 cup water
– 50 ml Tanqueray No. TEN
– 30 ml fresh lemon juice
– 22ml egg white
– 30ml matcha mix
