It’s the time of year again (so fast) where your wallet starts crying, the traffic gets worst, your electricity bill is much higher than usual, family members start flying in, your waist size gets bigger and food seems to be all around you. ALL. THE. TIME.

So I thought, hey, why not make you fatter. I usually post mostly healthy meals, but from time to time a little indulgence never really hurts anyone (well). So in these weeks leading up to the big C, i’m going to give you some recipes that are a little decadent, will wake up the kid in you and just might alleviate all the stress this joyful holiday is more and more associated with.

First up, the forever joy maker, the reaper of smiles, the demise of diets, the keeper of faith, the ultimate knee buckler, Nutella.

Brown Butter Sea Salt Nutella Cookie.

Dry: mix together, 2 1/3 cup of sieved flour,1 tsp baking soda, 1/4tsp of salt.

Borwn 1 cup of salted butter (or why not maple or bacon butter????) on low heat, you’ll see the butter get brown as you tend to it with a spoon.

Wet: 1 c brown sugar, 1/4c. white sugar, 1 egg, 1 yolk, 1 tbsb of sour cream. Put in mixer. Mix.
Add brown butter.
Fold in Dry mix.
Mix in 1 cup of mixed milk and dark chocolate chips.
Put in the fridge for about 30mins – 1hour.

Form some balls with your hand about 2inches thick. Flatten them out, put a tbsp of nutella in the middle and fold the bal over again. Place on parchment paper.

Bake at 350 farenheit for 15mins or until desired texture is achieved. Shorter times for chewy gooey cookies. Full time for nice hard cookies. When done, cool them on a rack with some sea salt flakes on top.

Enjoy with a tall glass of milk.
