Easy, Healthy and Spiced Homemade Popcorn
Sometimes I look at products in the supermarket and I ask myself whether I would be able to make it myself and if I could, would it be healthier and how so.
Popcorn is a festive snack that always announces something comforting and fun. Mostly related to movie nights, a trip to the theater or theme parks. It is basically just popped corn kernels with seasoning, so how come is it sold in microwave packages or pre-made stove top vessels for a premium? Well, I don’t know either, because one you learn how to make it at home, you’ll never buy the store bought stuff again.
I really feel that we will see popcorn as a popular snack in 2013. Here is a base recipe from which you can add anything your crazy fat kid mind can conjure.
Heat up 2tbsp of peanut oil. Once hot add 1/2 cup of kernels. Wait for the popping to take off and die down. Season and eat. Watch the video below and see how I put my spin on it.
