Omelette Du Fromage – French Cheese Omelette

Remember that Dexter episode when all he was saying was “omelette du Fromage”? Well, here is the real recipe for an Omelette AU Fromage. A Beautiful French Cheese omelette.

All you need is 3 eggs, 1 tbsp of grated Tomme de Savoie, Salt, Pepper, 1tbsp of chives (or baby onions).

Watch the vid for the technique on how to make fluffy, french omelettes every time. One thing i fail to mention on the video is the necessity to have a great non stick pan that you’ve used before as well as having the right sized pan. I find an 8inch pan does wonders.

I think you mean Dexter’s Laboratory, not Dexter. :)

Yes, I did mean the Dexter’s Lab episode. Kinda hard to imagine Dexter saying Omelette Du Fromage over and over.

I can never forget Omelette du Fromage because of Dexter’s Laboratory. It just stuck through me. I can’t wait to share this recipe to hubby and ask him to cook it for me. It’s my role to eat! <3

Thanks for posting healthy and yummy dishes!

Can you recommend an alternative for Tomme de Savoie?

about THE FAT KID

I gained weight because of a sedentary lifestyle and overly indulging in foods I knew were bad for me, eating out too often, taking the easy route (microwavable dishes) and not caring what went in my body, before I knew it reached 240 lbs. I lost weight through pure dedication, tireless hours of hard work and yes, food. I cooked my way to fitness, making sure to only feed myself tasty well prepared dishes with all the right stuff, the perfect fuel, taking me down to 150lbs. Of course I indulge from time to time, as the fat kid still lurks inside of me; here you will find a little bit of everything for the sole purpose of sharing my passion for food and life.
