Vacation

Hey everyone,

I’m taking my first vacation of this year and will be back to posting in 2 weeks time. I’m currently in Paris and will be traveling around Europe. New cities and places always prove to be sources of such positive inspiration for me, and i’ll be bringing back my most memorable dishes forever with me and reinterpret them for you.

See you Soon, keep on cooking

Can’t wait to see what you come up with when you get back from your Eurotrip! I think it’ll be something definitely worth reading :) Til then enjoy the wonders of Europe. Cheers.

Amazing site but needs more entries! I need a suggestion. I’ll be in Paris for a week this coming March and since I always rent a flat every time I’m in the city, I would like to cook for my pinoy boyfriend and two of his cousins. I love French produce, seafood and most especially the BUTTER! Will it be possible if you could share some simple recipes that I can cook considering the limited variety of cooking utensils in a rented flat?

      from a fan,

i’ll try and post more madame.
if your in france and in an apartment where you will be limited with crockery and cook ware. its simple, go rustic, one pot. Chuck some oysters with some fresh cut lemon, buy some clams, langoustine, crevette grise, crabs, bulots…etc, make your own mountain of seafood, plateau de fruit de mers, and just buy some fresh baguettes from the boulangerie and youre good to go. As sides, some boiled potatoes, with salted butter and chives, and a simple tossed green mache salad with a dijon vinaigrette.
with a bottle of crisp white of course.

about THE FAT KID

I gained weight because of a sedentary lifestyle and overly indulging in foods I knew were bad for me, eating out too often, taking the easy route (microwavable dishes) and not caring what went in my body, before I knew it reached 240 lbs. I lost weight through pure dedication, tireless hours of hard work and yes, food. I cooked my way to fitness, making sure to only feed myself tasty well prepared dishes with all the right stuff, the perfect fuel, taking me down to 150lbs. Of course I indulge from time to time, as the fat kid still lurks inside of me; here you will find a little bit of everything for the sole purpose of sharing my passion for food and life.
